About Our Coaches

Russell Schmidt

Russell Schmidt is founder and president of Informoney Financial Planning*, a successful Toronto-based financial planning company. A certified financial planner, he is active in the insurance and investment industries. Russell also has an extensive background in education, both as a teacher and as a dean at Toronto’s internationally respected Sheridan College. While at Sheridan, he initiated several new programs, including the cooperative education programs.

Born and raised in Ontario, Russell graduated with honors from York University in Toronto and received a master of education degree from Brock University in St. Catharines, Ontario.

Russell has participated in the Strategic Coach® Program since 1991 and is currently in the Strategic Coach® Masters program, attending workshops coached by Dan Sullivan. He also attends quarterly sessions of Coach2®, an advanced program focused on the unique packaging of the entrepreneurial business. He coaches workshops in Vancouver, Toronto, and London, England.
